Beyond his business pursuits, Mr. Leavitt was a trustee emeritus of the University of Puget Sound, where he served actively on the Board of Trustees for over 25 years and was honored with an alumni award in June 2016 recognizing his lifetime of service. Additionally, he was an emeritus member and former chairman of the board of the Caroline Kline Galland Center, a nationally recognized senior care organization in the Seattle area.
